In 1905, the Richfield Oil Company was founded in California, and by the 1920s, the company was running service stations throughout Southern California. In addition to their filling stations, Richfield Oil produced a line of auto care products, one of which is the star of the Vintage Richfield Oil Can Metal Sign. This bright yellow and blue wall sign brings back one of the classic advertising images that Richfield Oil used during the company's heyday. The design includes a can of Richfield Motor Oil emblazoned with the company logo as well as an advertising message and the name and location of the company.
Measuring 8 inches by 14 inches in size, the Vintage Richfield Oil Can Metal Sign is very compact and weighs only 1 pound. The American-made sign is fashioned out of 24 gauge US steel and has been heat sealed to prevent peeling and flaking. To make it easy to hang, the sign has already been drilled and riveted in the corners.
