Vintage For Action Metal Sign 12 x 18 Inches
During World War I, the United States recruited men to help fight in the U.S. Air Service, which would later become the U.S. Air Force. To encourage men to enlist, the U.S. Army used posters made of metal, which were hung in public places throughout cities nationwide. One such poster is recreated in pigments baked on 24 gauge US steel in the design of the Vintage For Action Metal Sign. The artwork shows a serviceman starting the propeller of a plane while other uniformed airmen stand by watching him. The words "For action enlist in the Air Service" are printed on the sigh in black lettering.
Produced in the USA using only the finest of materials, the Vintage For Action Metal Sign measures 12 inches in width by 18 inches in height. The corners of the sign are distressed for a vintage look. The sign is fully drilled and riveted for quick and hassle free hanging, and it weighs about 2 pounds.
