The illustration features a beautiful strawberry-blonde woman wearing a red Santa-inspired outfit with white ruffled trim and a festive hat. Seated above a streamlined silver train, she smiles against a magical winter landscape.
The train's rounded aerodynamic nose, reflective metallic surfaces, and rows of passenger windows evoke the elegance of classic Burlington Zephyr rail travel.
A large red ribbon across the top proclaims "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
Near the upper left, the familiar "Burlington Route" logo appears alongside traditional railroad-advertising phrases: "Everywhere West" and "Way of the Zephyrs."
The bottom of the artwork completes the holiday message with "Home for the Holidays by Rail!"
Measuring an impressive 24 inches wide by 36 inches high, this steel sign makes a distinctive addition to Christmas decorations, railroad memorabilia collections, vintage transportation rooms, and holiday-themed entertainment spaces.

Celebrate the Burlington Route and the Famous Zephyrs
The Burlington Route was a well-known identity associated with the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad.
The railroad played an important role in American transportation, serving communities across the Midwest and connecting travelers with destinations farther west.
Its Zephyr passenger trains became famous for their streamlined designs and distinctive stainless-steel appearance.
The Burlington Zephyrs helped define a new era of railroad travel, combining modern styling with a sense of speed, comfort, and technological progress.
The Christmas artwork celebrates that recognizable railroad tradition through its gleaming silver passenger train and classic Burlington Route lettering.
The phrases "Everywhere West" and "Way of the Zephyrs" reinforce the historic passenger-railway theme.
For railroad enthusiasts, the sign offers an attractive combination of Burlington Route nostalgia and festive pin-up illustration.
It is especially appealing to collectors who appreciate streamlined trains, American railroad advertising, and mid-century transportation artwork.
Home for the Holidays by Rail – Christmas Travel Nostalgia
The slogan "Home for the Holidays by Rail!" is one of the artwork's most memorable features.
It captures the emotional appeal of returning home for Christmas by passenger train.
For generations, railroad stations were places of holiday reunions, departures, family visits, and memorable winter journeys.
The image of a brightly illuminated silver train traveling through a snowy landscape evokes those classic seasonal associations.
The Christmas pin-up adds a cheerful decorative personality, while the snow-covered evergreens reinforce the winter setting.
This combination makes the sign especially suitable for people who enjoy railroad history and traditional Christmas imagery.
The illustration creates a nostalgic scene rather than documenting a particular historic train journey.
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Festive Holiday Artwork
A wide red ribbon stretches across the upper portion of the sign with the holiday greeting "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas."
The red banner echoes the color of the pin-up's festive outfit, creating an attractive visual connection.
The warm holiday message contrasts with the cool silver train and green-blue winter background.
Below the banner, the cheerful blonde wears a Santa hat and red ruffled outfit while sitting above the streamlined passenger train.
Snowy trees, glowing highlights, and nostalgic lettering complete the scene.
These decorative elements make the Burlington Christmas Train sign suitable for traditional holiday displays as well as collections of vintage transportation artwork.
Its Christmas theme is particularly distinctive because it combines seasonal imagery with a recognizable railroad rather than simply featuring a generic winter train.
Streamlined Silver Train and Snowy Railroad Scenery
The polished passenger train dominates the lower half of the design.
Its broad rounded nose, curved windows, horizontal silver surfaces, and long passenger-car body create a striking example of classic streamliner-inspired artwork.
The illustrated Burlington Route emblem appears prominently on the front.
Reflective highlights emphasize the train's metallic appearance, giving the illustration a dramatic vintage-travel atmosphere.
On either side of the train, snow-covered evergreen trees rise against a glowing winter sky.
Small white snowflakes and star-like points appear throughout the upper portion.
The combination of cool blue-green scenery, white snow, and polished silver makes the festive red outfit and lettering stand out beautifully.
This is an especially appealing design for collectors who enjoy classic passenger trains and atmospheric railroad scenes.
