Vintage War Bonds 12 x 18 inches Metal Sign
During World War II, Americans were called upon to support the war effort in a variety of ways, and one of the most common of these was by buying war bonds. The U.S. government used a massive campaign to promote war bonds, and many of the signs made during that time featured pinup girl artwork. Made by Victory Girl, the Vintage War Bonds Metal Sign recreates one of these advertisements in a detailed image made with pigments adhered onto American steel with heat. The sign shows a leggy blond in a patriotic costume clutching a war bond. A message printed on the sign in blue lettering promotes the benefits of bonds, and an airplane print completes the design.
