Vintage Climax Metal Sign 24 x 36 Inches Inches
In 1888, a lumberman received a patent for an improved version of the steam locomotive. His geared trains began to be produced in Pennsylvania by his company, which he named the Climax Manufacturing Company. The company built more than 1,000 trains and used pinup girl artwork to advertise their brand. The Vintage Climax Metal Sign was inspired by these vintage advertisements and is 24 gauge US steel that has been sublimated to join the artwork with its powder coating. At the center of the sign, a Climax locomotive is shown chugging along the tracks. Behind it, a redhead clad in nothing but a yellow towel is shown. A rather provocative advertising phrase is printed across the top of the sign, and the Climax logo is featured in the design.
The Vintage Climax Metal Sign is manufactured in America and weighs 10 pounds. The sign measures 24 inches in width and 36 inches in height. To make it very simple to hang, it has already been drilled and riveted.
