Rock Island Metal Sign 18 x 12 Inches
The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad was one of America's most important railroads, connecting cities throughout 14 states in the Midwest. The railroad operated from 1852 to 1980, but in this gorgeous design from artist Larry Grossman, the railroad is shown how it looked in 1932. The Rock Island Metal Sign shows Peoria in the background at sunset. The train moves along the tracks, heading toward the foreground, and the angle is perfect for showing off the massive size of the station. The name of the painting is written in the top left with the Larry Grossman marker in the bottom right.
To keep the vivid details bright and vibrant, the artwork of the Rock Island Metal Sign is sealed onto the 24 gauge US steel at high heat. Measuring 18 inches by 12 inches in size, the wall decoration is 2 pounds. Manufactured in America, the sign is finished with drill holes in every corner. The holes are reinforced with rivets.
