Retro Red Hat Gasoline Metal Sign 14 x 14 Inches
In 1925, the sale of the Hawkeye Oil Company led to the launch of a new brand of motor oil and gasoline--Red Hat. The short-lived company operated filling stations and sold motor oil to customers. Today, the company's iconic patriotic top hat logo is still fondly remembered by fans of automotive history, and it is shown here at the middle of the Retro Red Hat Gasoline Metal Sign. Along with the logo hat design, the sign features a dark blue banner that reads "Motor Oil" and "Gasoline." The Red Hat name is written on either side of the hat, and beneath it, you'll find the logo for Independent Oil.
The Retro Red Hat Gasoline Metal Sign was made in the USA and features very high quality American steel. Baked to apply the pigments to the metal, the sign is durable and measures 14 inches in diameter. The 1-pound sign has a riveted drill hole at the top for hanging.
