Retro P-40 Warhawk Round - Pin-Up Girl Metal Sign - 14 x 14 Inches
On October 14, 1938, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk first took to the skies. By 1941, the single-seat fighter plane was involved in heavy combat in many regions involved in World War II. The plane was known for its fierce paint job, which had a face at the front, and the Allied star on its back. Those details are perfectly captured along with all of the other features of the fighter plane in the design of the Retro P-40 Warhawk Round Metal Sign. Patterned after the pinup girl artwork popular during the 1940s, the sign shows a sweet, but seductive farm girl with pigtails seated beside the plane, and it bears the aircraft's name in red lettering.
The Retro P-40 Warhawk Round Metal Sign is made in America and has been heated to bake the artwork permanently onto the powder coating of the sign. Crafted out of 24 gauge US steel right here in the USA, the sign is 14 inches wide and weighs 1 pound. One riveted drill hole is included in the design.
