Retro Midland Railway metal sign 14 x 8 Inches
In 1902, Samuel W. Johnson unveiled a new series of locomotives for Midland Railway. Called the 1000 class, these trains were built until 1909 with a total of 45 manufactured. The landmark design is shown in vivid detail on the Midland Railway metal sign, part of a collection of vintage signs inspired by collector's train postcards. The sign features the black and red locomotive with the name of its railroad and other identifying information on the bottom right. This American-made wall decoration is sure to make a great gift for anyone with a passion for railroad history.
The Midland Railway metal sign has an aged look because of its vintaging at the corners, but the sign is actually made with the latest of modern manufacturing techniques. The artwork has been heat baked onto the American steel base for superior longevity when compared to paint. Measuring 14 inches by 8 inches in size, the sign has riveted drill holes in the corners and weighs 1 pound.
