Retro Coupe Des Alpes Metal Sign 24 x 36 Inches Inches
In 1932, the Federation Française Des Sports Automobiles held the first ever Coupe Des Alpes Race, marking the start of the annual tradition that became commonly known as the Alpine Rally. During the 1950s and 60s, the race was considered one of the preeminent racing events in Europe with participants coming from far and wide to try and win the rally. The Retro Coupe Des Alpes Metal Sign is an exact recreation of one of the advertising posters for the 1963 race, which won by Jean Rolland and his Alfa Romeo Giulietta. The sign has a very colorful, vintage look and bears the symbol for the race in the upper left.
Made in the USA, the Retro Coupe Des Alpes Metal Sign is 24 inches by 36 inches in size. The sign is constructed from heavyweight 24 gauge US steel and weighs 4 pounds. Because the artwork is sublimated onto the metal, it will not peel or flake, and the wall decoration is drilled and riveted to make it easy to hang.
