Hancock Old School Gasoline Metal Sign 42 x 42 Inches
The Hancock Oil Company was founded in Los Angeles in 1860 and began marketing gasoline during the early part of the 20th century. Hancock filling stations were easy to spot because they had a very unique logo--a plump orange rooster that was strutting along the name of the company. The logo was so popular that the Signal Oil Company continued to use it after purchasing Hancock in 1958, and now, you can get the look of that retro logo with the Hancock Old School Gasoline Metal Sign. Made with high quality American steel, the sign is baked to make the logo, the brand name and the orange and black background part of the metal.
The Hancock Old School Gasoline Metal Sign is 42 inches wide and weighs 16 pounds. Made in America, the sign has been given a weathered look with a hand vintaging process. This is responsible for the aged quality on the sign but does not diminish its longevity or durability. The sign is drilled and riveted.
