Haiawatha Indian Metal Sign 24 x 36 Inches
In 1935, the Hiawatha train line began offering service. This fleet of passenger trains carried people along the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad and helped make travel throughout the Midwest much easier. The train line was widely publicized in ad campaigns, which used Native Americans as spokes models.
The Hiawatha Indian Metal Sign was inspired by a genuine Hiawatha train advertisement and will make a great gift for any train buff. The sign shows a pinup girl dressed in an Indian costume, looking out across a mountainous landscape. A Hiawatha train is seen below her, speeding down the tracks.
Made in the USA, the Hiawatha Indian Metal Sign bears the words "Nothing Faster on Wheels." The lettering and the image are baked into the powder coating of the heavy-gauge 24 gauge US steel base, creating a permanent design that will not diminish over time.
Measuring 24 inches by 36 inches in size, the 10-pound Metal Sign comes pre-drilled and riveted for simple hanging.
