Haiawatha Indian Metal Sign 12 x 18 Inches
In 1935, the Hiawatha fleet of trains began steaming back and forth across the Midwest, making it easy for people to travel between Milwaukee, Chicago and St. Paul and to board trains bound for the western U.S. Today, the Hiawatha line continues to be in service, making it one of the oldest train routes still in use. The Hiawatha Indian Metal Sign pays tribute to the early days of the railway and is inspired by the pin-up girl signs once used for promotion. The artwork of a beautiful Indian maiden standing above one of the locomotives with a highly detailed landscape in the background is baked onto the metal sign for a durable finish.
Made in America, the Hiawatha Indian Metal Sign is crafted out of thick 24 gauge US steel, making it very sturdy and strong. The sign weighs 2 pound and is 12 inches wide by 18 inches high. Hand-distressing at each corner creates the illusion that the sign is an antique, and the corners are drilled and riveted for hanging.
