Protecting the long-lasting image is a clear, optical grade Lexan lens that is resistant to both scratching and yellowing. On the rear of this clock, there is an LED light source hidden away inside of a black ABS plastic encasement. Plug the clock into any standard 110-volt outlet to power on the back light. Also inside of this stylish clock is a quartz movement that is powered by a single AA battery.
