Covering the clock face is a durable, clear Lexan lens that protects it against any scratching or yellowing. Inside, there is a quartz movement that reliably keeps the time when you insert a single AA battery. Flip the clock over to expose its black ABS plastic case which holds inside of it the LED light source responsible for illuminating the clock. Power this LED on by plugging the clock into any standard 110-volt outlet.
