Dubonnet Xenia Automotive Metal Sign 28 x 28 Inches
In 1904, two Swiss men named Marc Birkigt and Damian Mate founded Hispano-Suiza, a car company based in Spain. The company only operated until 1968, but the automaker did produce one vehicle that remains legendary among collectors today. That vehicle, the 1938 Dubbonet Xenia, is celebrated on the Dubonnet Xenia Automotive Metal Sign. The car shows the Dubbonet Xenia in silver parked in front of a beach on a bright sunny day. The name of the vehicle and "Hispano-Suiza" are written at the top in a font that brings to mind the 1930s, and people are shown admiring the car decked out in the clothing of the times.
The Dubonnet Xenia Automotive Metal Sign is made in America from very thick 24 gauge US steel. The highly detailed artwork has been sealed onto the powder coating with heat to keep it from peeling or flaking off. Measuring 28 inches in size, the sign weighs 7 pounds and is drilled and riveted at the top and bottom.
