Guarding against both scratches and yellowing with age is a clear, optical grade Lexan lens resting atop the UV-dried clock face. Featured on the back of this clock is black ABS plastic that holds an LED source inside. Power on this light and illuminate the clock by plugging it into any standard 110-volt outlet. A single AA battery is all it takes to get the crystal movement working.
