Any lover of automotive history is sure to be a fan of the Vintage Red Hat Gasoline Giant Metal Sign, a durable metal sign that bears the well-remembered logo of Red Hat brand gasoline. The logo was inspired by the patriotism of the post World War II period and shows Uncle Sam's top hat. Red in color, the hat is trimmed in navy blue with white stars. The name of the brand appears on either side of the hat, and beneath is the logo for the Independent Oil Company, the manufacturer of the gasoline. A navy blue border completes the sign and has the words, "Motor Oil" and Gasoline" printed on it in white.
